Acted as local counsel for defendant Samsung SDI Co. Ltd.in a successful motion to dismiss a personal injury suit in the Western District Court of Oklahoma regarding a lithium-ion battery used in an e-cigarette allegedly exploded in the plaintiff’s pocket and caused injuries.

GableGotwals represented subcontractor Metal Building Industries (MBI) in a 5-day jury trial to recover for non-payment for work completed on a commercial construction contract. The jury spent just 45 minutes deliberating before entering a verdict in favor of MBI on breach of contract for the entire $181,015.97.
Congratulations to Adam Doverspike who was appointed by Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum to the board of the Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority for a three-year term. The Tulsa Transit Board of Trustees oversee the management of Tulsa Transit and govern Tulsa Transit’s policies and major procurement projects.
Adam Doverspike served as the TYPros Government Relations Crew Leader in 2016, having lent his talents to improve the policy survey process so TYPros could take a more active role in identifying local policies that align with TYPros members' priorities. In 2018 he served as incoming chair alongside Moises Echeverria, our 2018 chair.
