Profile

Grant Fitz is a shareholder at GableGotwals, where he advises clients regarding civil litigation in the areas of business, insurance, and healthcare law. A seasoned trial lawyer, Grant represents clients in state and federal courts at all stages in the litigation process from complex business litigation, medical malpractice, trucking law, aviation law, premises liability, and wrongful death.

He began his legal career as a Legal Intern in Cleveland County, then became an Assistant District Attorney with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s office from 2003 to 2006. During that time, Grant was immersed in all aspects of trial practice. In 2004, after having successfully prosecuted more than two dozen criminal trials, he was designated Chief Prosecutor of the Adult Protective Division.

By the time Grant entered civil litigation in 2006, he was an experienced trial lawyer for whom the transition was a seamless one. Grant perfected his skills in civil litigation at an AV-rated, full service civil law firm located in Tulsa, and during his time there, litigated a number of complex medical and wrongful death cases. He furthered his skills another local civil law firm in Tulsa, where he gained additional experience defending insurance companies involving complex allegations of bad faith.

Grant understands that each case is different, whether the issue hinges on complex cerebral anatomy and radiology or the fine details of a statute and how that can swing the case in favor of his client, he is well equipped to defend all issues. He is a three-time recipient of the “Rising Star” designation by Super Lawyers, which is reserved for the upper 2.5% of attorneys practicing in the State of Oklahoma. This designation represents his tireless work defending his clients, of which he takes great pride.
