Maria Escobar is an associate at GableGotwals where she maintains a diverse litigation practice representing and advising clients in all phases of litigation. She represents clients before state and federal courts on a variety of issues, including labor and employment, products liability, first-party insurance defense, and more.
As a member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, Maria conducts internal workplace investigations, advises clients on employment law compliance to mitigate risk, and develops policies, procedures, and training for employers.
Maria is also fluent in Spanish, which allows her to more effectively communicate with clients and employees during investigations and trainings.
While at Oklahoma City University School of Law, Maria served as a member of the National Moot Court Team and was inducted to the Order of the Barristers. Maria was named a Holloway Scholar and was awarded the Oklahoma City University School of Law Alumni Association Scholarship.
Additionally, Maria worked as a research assistant for Dean Jim Roth, and she spent the Spring of 2022 semester as a judicial extern for United States Magistrate Judge Suzanne Mitchell for the Western District of Oklahoma.
